I recently made the trip to Fort Lauderdale to try Italio, a Fast Italian Food restaurant that has an undeniable resemblance to the college staple Chipotle. It was as if Chipotle had a long lost Italian cousin that it just found out about. Italio first made its debut in Boca Raton near Florida Atlantic University but has now expanded to Fort Lauderdale.

I am a long time lover of Italio, but I usually get the salads and the wraps. Since I often drive to Fort Lauderdale and happen to run across the group-on, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try one of their pasta bowls.

I ordered
-Whole Grain Pasta, Grilled Veggie Medley, Feta Cheese, Bruschetta, Basic Pesto, Roasted Red Pepper, Black Olives, Arugula, Spinach, Basic, Mushrooms, White Beans, and Cucumber.

Overall it was incredibly filling, and I think the new Fort Lauderdale location should gain popularity in the Boca Raton area. I had plenty leftover for lunch, and the coupon allowed me to have an unsweetened tea, side salad plus another meal for the following day. How can you go wrong with that? The food is made quick, easy and it helped that the staff was exceptionally friendly the day I went.

Now, it is far from homemade pasta you would get from a quaint restaurant in Italy so do not go if you are expecting it to be but if you are on a budget and want something quick easy and surprisingly tasty, give Italio a shot.

For this Groupon, I am giving an 8.5/10 experience rating.
